These cool little pieces feature an actual micro survival kit that can prove useful in a pinch. The polished capsule can be used as a signal devise, and contains a ferrocerium rod, magnesium block, X-acto blade, 2 ft. spiderwire braided filament, 2 fish hooks, a needle, & 2 safety pins. I have painstakenly devised a way to use a single length of 1.2 mm nylon cord so it can be unraveled into a useful length. Two types of beads are used, wooden for floats, and pewter for sinkers. 2 small split rings finish it off.
